Decaf Peru

This Decaf Peru is the epitome of easy drinking, with notes of milk chocolate and caramel. It’s certified Fair Trade and decaffeinated without any chemicals, just fresh mountain spring water, using the Mountain Water Process. 

We prefer to offer Mountain Water Process (MWP) coffees over Swiss Water Process to improve sustainability and freshness. The two are the same essential process, just different locations: MWP in Mexico, and Swiss Water Process in Switzerland. From a sustainability and freshness perspective, a coffee grown in Peru, processed in Mexico, and shipped to Austin involves significantly less fuel and shipping time compared to coffee grown in Peru, processed in Switzerland, and sent back to the Western hemisphere for us to roast.
